Yesterday (27th October 2021), we lost Senior Advocate Abdul Baset Majumdar. We express our deepest sorrow at the sad demise of former Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council, former President of Supreme Court Bar Association, Joint Convenor of the Convening Committee of Bangabandhu Awami Ainjibi Parishad, Member of Advisory Council of Bangladesh Awami League, Senior Advocate Abdul Baset Mazumder:

Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family. Senior Advocate Abdul Baset Majumdar was a legend. He was an idol for all lawyers. He was called ‘Friend of Lawyers’ and ‘Advocate of the Poor’. He was the unparalleled guardian of the lawyer community. May Allah grant him Jannah.
